Using A.I. Responsibly
A.I. is a powerful tool. Learn how to use it fairly, safely, and honestly.
1. Check the facts
A.I. can be wrong or out of date. Verify important information with reliable sources such as textbooks, trusted websites, or teachers.
2. Bias and fairness
If training data doesn't represent everyone fairly, an A.I. can produce unfair results. This is called bias, and engineers work hard to reduce it.
3. Protect your privacy
Never share personal information — your full name, address, school, phone number, or passwords — with an A.I. tool. What you type may be stored.
4. Use it honestly
A.I. can help you brainstorm, study, and check your work, but turning in A.I.-written work as your own is dishonest. Use it as a helper, not a replacement for your own thinking.
